The Formosa Pouchong is a quite unusual tea that adds a wonderful taste extension to any tea collection. Typical for a good Pouchong, its characteristics share commanalities with Green and Oolong teas. Only about 18% oxidized, this tea is fruitier than green tea but does have its natural, refreshing taste and lightness. A very likeable tea, enjoyed by both Oolong and Green tea friends. Highly recommended.

Recommendations: Use 2 heaping tsp. per 6 oz. cup; heat fresh water until it is steaming briskly (not boiling); let steep for 2-3 min.  Able to steep multiple time.

Health Benefits:  Studies show that oolong teas, rich in antioxidants, promotes healthy teeth, skin and bones and can help to lower cholesterol, protect against heart and aid in digestion and weight loss.  Since tea contain a significant amount of polyphenol (know as tannin), it is believed t account for the lower risk of cancer in tea drinkers because of it's ability to help DNA cells to accurately reproduce.
