Produced in the Chinese Fijian province, this Silver Needle tea consists of the most tender leaves imaginable: single buds that were plucked right after they fully developed, but before they had time to open. The beautifully shaped buds of equal length are covered with white down. When infused, they produce a pale yellow liquor with an extraordinary fresh, sweet fragrance. A delicate and subtle treat for quiet moments and a wonderful Summer Tea when chilled.

This very special tea deserves a careful preparation. It is suggested to brew it either in a guywan or in a Yixing tea pot (serious Silver Needle lovers will dedicate a Yixing pot just for this tea).

Recommendations: Use 2 heaping tsp. per 6 oz. cup; heat fresh water until it is steaming briskly (not boiling); let steep for 4 min.  Able to steep multiple time.

Health Benefits:  Studies show that white tea is loaded with antioxidants; it can protect against cancer, heart disease and stroke, as well as numerous other conditions.  White tea is also said to strengthen the circulatory and healthy, young looking skin.
